Daniel started a text message with me, my husband, and Laurie to keep us up to date of next steps, when the steps would take place, stopping by to check on progress and were always available for questions. We made a last minute update to cover an extension of our patio which was pea gravel to Cool Deck. The project started on time and ended on time. I first started discussions with The Pool Man back in 2022 for my pool and decking renovation. Life happened, and my hopes to start our project were put on hold until earlier this year - but Laurie was right there to pick things up again and we got straight to work! I worked primarily with Laurie and Daniel for my renovation and when I say they keep you in the loop and go the extra mile for you, I really mean it - we maintained a group chat and everything. This has been my first truly positive experience with a contracted project of any size at my house! Reasonably priced and efficient in their work - the only delays we experienced were due to weather and (expected) complications with my pool's very old piping and plaster/rebar coverage. The teams they work with to complete all the various aspects of the work are equally excellent - crews showed up earlier than expected, stayed later than they probably needed to and were quite tidy in terms of protecting the exterior of my home, cleaning up not only the mountains of debris from the project but also after themselves each day when they left. They even came back on Saturdays to complete work if it wasn't finished on Friday - I call that dedication!
I decided to work with The Pool Man after stellar reviews from a few of my colleagues at work who had very different scopes in mind for their pools and they were all beyond pleased with them as well (...and I should mention, we are ALL verrry particular!!).
If you're debating between a few companies to work with, go ahead and just pick these guys - best team ever!!

We had a wonderful experience with Laurie, Daniel & team. We were looking for a team of people to give our 20+ year old pool a facelift as well as completely redo our pool deck and upgrade select pieces of pool equipment. After meeting with several different companies to review our vision for our backyard, we knew when we first met Laurie that she was the right fit for us. She answered all of our questions, itemized the quote, was clear about what costs were included/excluded in the quote and what to expect throughout the process. They are GREAT communicators and that's very hard to come by nowadays. We always knew who to expect on any given day and when the major milestones were scheduled to begin. They also never showed up unannounced, they were great about letting us know when they'd arrive or when they were dropping by to review the work that was in progress/had been completed. Daniel was always on site when a new scope of work was beginning and made sure everything we had discussed was carried out. The weather threw us a lot of curveballs with rain, snow & freezing temperatures but they adjusted well.
They were great at listening to and answering our questions and the quality of work is fantastic! We would absolutely recommend Laurie, Daniel and the entire renovation team, you won't regret it!

We couldn't be happier with our experience with The Pool Man! We have an older pool that needed new equipment as well as new plaster. Both Laurie and Daniel were in charge of our project, and they were both amazing! The work itself was outstanding, our pool is now simply beautiful, and the pump system is greatly improved and working as it should. But perhaps the most impressive thing was the excellent communication before, during, and after the renovation process. I had a million questions, and Laurie answered every one in a timely manner and never made me feel like I was bugging her. Also, communication among staff members was excellent! The right hand always knew what the left hand was doing. How refreshing! Even after the project was finished, we had a few more questions, and they were still very happy to answer them. Daniel even came back out to talk with us in person. The workers were very respectful of my property and cleaned up each day when they were finished, not just one time at the end of the project. Being a reno and not a new construction, there was already landscaping and sod in place, and the workers did an amazing job at keeping all of that intact and undamaged. They even put plastic sheeting on my driveway where they parked so they didn't get any mess on the ground. Daniel came out every day to supervise the work and make sure everything was going as planned. This company really cares about the work they do and they make sure their customers are completely satisfied and comfortable with the whole process. I am so thankful to have found The Pool Man and wholeheartedly recommend them for any pool and/or equipment renovations that are needed.

It was an instant match between approachability, knowledge, and just good energy about her. We were not mistaken. Laurie Berry is AWESOME!!!!!! We moved into our home with an existing pool. After a few years we realized we had to resurface the pool. I contacted 3 companies to get a quote. Laurie from the Pool Man showed up for the quote and immediately I knew I was going to pick her because she exuded trustworthiness; she built a relationship, she didn't mind my crazy dogs, and really listened to what we were trying to achieve. For us, this was a major investment, but Laurie did not disappoint. For our job, we went with a resurface with Pebblesheen and new tiles and got the cracks in our decking fixed along and redone. We also had the existing flagstone coping and flagstone waterfall cleaned and sealed.
From a design standpoint, we had selected some awful choices, but Laurie diplomatically helped us correct our choices. She has experience and knows what works. Time and time again she proved that she knew what was best. She takes pride in the work that she does, talks you through the process and sets expectations well. With any sizeable project there are always minor items and Laurie has been there every step of the way.
Was the Pool Man inc the cheapest bid I got? No. But the value is immense as I had a company that stood by their work and showed pride in a job well done. I can honestly say that Laurie took as much pride in my home and my backyard oasis as I do. Thanks Laurie and thanks Pool Man Inc!

We recently had our pool renovated with the Pool Man (replaced old Pebble Tec with Pebble Sheen). When I initially called, Laurie helped provide options for solutions to our issue, even offering some options that were lower cost. We ended up going for the full re-plaster and were very happy throughout the whole process. Laurie kept us updated on status regularly. We just had the renovation of our 15 year old pool completed by the Pool Man and also had some additional upgrades to our deck included. From start to finish Laurie Barry was our contact. First off there was no sales pitch and then a hand off - Laurie was there every step of the way and constantly overseeing the work. Why was that important? She knew exactly what we had expressed as important to us, what was non-negotiable and where we were flexible and ultimately we got exactly what we wanted. Second, you pay for what you get. I could have definitely paid a bit less up front but ultimately having Laurie in charge took away all of the headaches and when there were things that weren't quite right Laurie made sure it was done correctly and there was no fighting over an up charge or being nickel and dimed. I cannot recommend Laurie and the Pool Man enough for how everything turned out. If we move house and decide to build a pool or renovate an existing one I know I only need to make one call to Laurie.

Laurie kept us informed every step of the way, from start to finish. She was prompt in all of her communications, was courteous and personable, yet professional.
